Mario leads the investment team and is responsible for sourcing new acquisitions, underwriting assets, creating business plans, and assisting with the closing of prospective acquisitions. Additionally, Mario oversees lender negotiations, joint venture agreements, and purchase and sale agreements.

Previously, Mario served as an associate for the investments team at The Sterling Organization, where over the past four years, he underwrote and reviewed over 70 retail and mixed-use assets exceeding $2B in market value, led the financial due diligence for all core and value-add fund transactions, conducted disposition analyses for Sterling’s portfolio, and managed a pipeline of over 900 acquisition targets per year.

Mario was born in Bogota, Colombia, and raised in Miami, FL. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Cornell University and a Master’s of Management with a minor in Real Estate also from Cornell University.
